Simone Robers

Simone joined the department in 2014, initially as a member of the departments’ Auxiliary and subsequently as an Associate member. Simone has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2016. She serves on various committees and primarily oversees grants funding for the department.

Simone is a senior research scientist for the Navy, Marine Corps, and Space Force at CNA, a non-profit research and analysis organization located in Arlington, Virginia. Simone holds a Bachelors Degree with majors in Sociology and Psychology and a Masters Degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She also holds a Masters Certification in Project Management from the George Washington University, School of Business. Simone further is a certified Kindergarten teacher with a license to practice in Germany, where she was born and lived for 25 years.

Simone lives in Southern Maryland with her husband Brandon (a BVFD volunteer Firefighter) and her two children Mackenzie and Caleb who are frequent visitors of the department and future recruits.
