Brandon joined the department in 2005, shortly after leaving active duty in the U.S. Army. He is now a Firefighter 3 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2014.

Brandon serves as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Environmental and Natural Resources Divisions and as a Reserve Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. Brandon holds a Bachelors Degree with majors in economics and international affairs from George Washington University, a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Master of Public Administration from American University. He lives in Southern Maryland with his wife, Simone, and two young children.
