The BVFD Officers congratulate EMT Rohith Mathew on becoming our latest EMS Unit Driver in August of 2023.

Rohith joined the BVFD in February of 2018 and has been consistently taking training classes to earn his status as EMT in Charge and now as an Emergency EMS Driver. Rohith completed EVOC, then began working through the BVFD cognitive and practical examinations (on our Ambulance, emergency laws, area streets, and hospital running routes). The final training phase required him to demonstrate proficiency in driving on numerous emergency calls under the evaluation of an experienced Driver. Rohith went on a wide variety of emergency calls, including hospital transports, to meet the final requirements and earn Emergency Driver status. The BVFD salutes his hard work and constant dedication.

Chief Ryman and President Hong salute EMT Mathew and all BVFD personnel for their dedication and commitment to serving others and consistently providing vital staffing! Keep up the fantastic work!
