The Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department  is proud to announce the hiring of a new Recruiter and Volunteer Coordinator, Katie Bulla. 

Katie was raised within the BVFD family. Both of her parents have been members since the 1980s, and her brother since 2012.  She brings her contagious love of the department as well as a plethora of experience in management, social media marketing, filmmaking, team building, event planning, and volunteer coordination. 

Though she has been living down south in North Carolina and Louisiana for the last 10 years, she has recently moved to Southern Pennsylvania. Now she relishes the proximity to her family, especially her young niece Jennifer, and the opportunity to finally put her skills and dedication to use for the BVFD. 

In her off time she works as the Special Events Coordinator for her small Pennsylvania borough, on the board of the Red Lion ROARs non-profit, designing escape room games, buying and selling antiques through her online shop, and continuously working on her big old house.

The BVFD looks forward to the fresh perspective that Ms. Bulla will bring to the department, and wishes her the best of luck!
