2019 Open House – Sunday, October 13th
Please join us for some free fun at the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) annual Open House on Sunday, October 13, Noon – 4 pm, 13900 Old Columbia Pike (Briggs Chaney near Route 29).
The BVFD proudly opens our doors (and our trucks!) to the community, offering free fun and safety education activities for children of all ages!
Come participate in numerous events for the entire family. Children will love meeting the Friendly Firefighter, racing through the kids’ firefighter skills obstacle course, firehouse scavenger hunt, free face painting, educational activities for kids, and a new petting zoo.
Kids of all ages can experience the 911 call simulator, station tours, ambulance tours, and the highly-popular vehicle extrication demonstration (managing a simulated car crash).
This year we are very excited to have Marshall from Paw Patrol, as a special guest! Bring a camera for lots of picture ops!
This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to come and climb through our Ambulance and all of our fire and rescue trucks.
