Please join the proud members of the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon as we dedicate our new Ladder Truck T715 to the Charter Members of BVFD.  With eight years in the making from concept to approval to build and delivery, we will celebrate the introduction of this new piece of apparatus into the BVFD-owned fleet.  We very much appreciate the Burtonsville and surrounding communities, and those citizens who so generously donate to and support our efforts.  We will welcome your attendance, and honor our founding fathers of the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department, which was established in May of 1947.  “The final test of a leader is that he leaves behind him in other men the conviction and the will to carry on.”  – Walter Lippmann
