Firefighter Michael V. Scanlon recently graduated from the Howard County Police Department last week on April 28, 2016.  His dedication to public safety and service in his community is clearly evident.  After taking a leave of absence from Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department to devote complete attention to his training at the Howard County Public Safety Training Academy, we welcome Mike back to BVFD in a volunteer firefighter capacity when time allows.  We are very proud of his dedication and pride in serving the citizens of Montgomery and Howard Counties.
