Around 1:00 AM on December 22nd, Company 15 and surrounding units were alerted to 2215 Kingshouse Road in Burtonsville for the report of a house on fire. Units arrived to find a two story single family home with smoke showing from the front and fire showing from the basement and first floor in the rear. T715 arrived, forced entry to the home, and laddered the building while PE715 and the crew from M715 stretched two attack lines to assist with the large volume of fire present. During operations, a partial collapse of the first floor involved one firefighter, who fell into the basement of the home, however other personnel were able to quickly mitigate the situation and they were removed from the building without injury. Units operated on the scene for multiple hours ensuring the fire was fully extinguished due to the significant fire conditions that had been present.
