At 2030 hours on June 27th, Company 15 and surrounding units were alerted to 809 Orchard Way in Company 24’s area (Hillandale) for the reported house on fire. Engine, Truck, Ambulance, Medic, and Chief 715 responded on the run. Units arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the front of the home and fire showing from the rear of the attached structure. Truck 715 laddered and forced entry to the rear of the building, performed horizontal ventilation, worked on searches, opened up inside the structure, and opened up the roof, while Engine 715 was assigned as part of the rapid intervention group, while Chief 715 was assigned a variety of divisions throughout the incident.
