The Burtonsville Volunteers continued their response to string of serious motor vehicle collisions. This incident occurred at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Fairland Road. Five people were injured, three of them with traumatic injuries and two of which were trapped in their vehicles. The injured were transported to area hospitals/trauma centers via helicopters and land based transport units.
