House Fire on Springbrook Drive

April 9, 2004

At 2245 hours, while units were still working at the fire in the frame shop, Truck 15 along with Engine 121 were clearing an automatic fire alarm and were directed by PSCC to respond as the first due engine and truck company for a house fire at 120 Springbrook Drive. Engine 121 reported heavy fire showing from Side "C" as they were approaching the scene. This neighborhood consists of very large homes in an unusual area that has no fire hydrants. A rural water supply assignment along with a water supply task force was added by PSCC while units were still enroute. The fire involved Quadrants "C" and "D" of a large contemporary home. An aggressive interior operation was initiated and contained the fire to area involved upon arrival. Water supply was maintained by using tankers and drafting water from a pool at the house next door.
