Just after one in the afternoon, Firefighters from Burtonsville, dispatched for a motel fire in the 100 block of Washington Blvd. Burtonsville units arrived on the scene on side three (the rear) to find medium smoke coming from both floors. Within minutes the fire on the first floor was knocked and the units had checked for extension, finding minor extension to the floor above the fire.

All occupants had escaped from the fire safely, so fortunately there were no serious injuries.

Over 15 units and over fourty firefighters responded to this blaze.
