The Savage Volunteer Fire Company responded to the house fire in the 9500 block of Glen Oaks Lane. A second alarm was requested bringing Engine 151 to the scene. The garage attached to this two-story single-family dwelling was heavily involved upon arrival. A quick aggressive attack by the members of Savage VFC prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the home and left little work for the later arriving companies.
