Reserve Truck 15 (RT-15) placed in service for the first time on 12/22/03 while our regular Truck is placed out of service for about two weeks for maintenance. Reserve Truck 15 was purchased several months ago by the BVFD to be used exclusively as a back up for our ladder truck. The vehicle is a 1988 Pierce rear mount with a 105' aerial ladder with a 500 lb. tip load. The truck previously served in the city of New Rochelle, New York. |
 Engine 151
is a Pierce Dash 2000 with a 1250 gpm Waterous dual stage pump and a 550
gallon booster tank. The smaller booster tank allows better acceleration
and less wear and tear on the vehicle. This vehicle also features a air
operated front and rear soft sleeve. This allows for the engine to pull
past a hydrant and and leave room for the truck while still being able to
get water. |

Rescue Squad 15, purchased in 2005 from Pierce, is a heavy duty rescue squad. Our squad is capable of handling every kind of emergency, ranging from water and ice rescues, to automobile accidents, to confined space rescues. Our squad is also responsible for Search and Rescue at fires, and is now equipped with 2 hand held thermal imager to assist with Search and Rescue. It is also equipped with the Stanley Hydraulic Breaching and Breaking System, enabling fire fighters to handle emergencies with concrete, asphalt, and other masonary materials. |
| Truck 15 is a 1998 Pierce straight heavy-duty ladder truck. Truck 15's primary responsibility is fire related. It carries a wide range of tools, from forcible entry tools for quick entry into any kind of building or dwelling, to ladders for outside ventilation and a sure exit for fire victims and firefighters, to a myriad of hand tools for salvage and overhaul and searching for fire behind walls and ceilings. |

Old Engine 152 was taken out of service in 1999. It is a 1972 Hahn, with a dual stage Hale 1250 gpm pump. The pumper sits at 28 ft long making it easy to maneuver to any emergency situation. The pumper ran most emergency medical calls as well as supplying water for attacking fires. We were proud to have run this 10 speed manual transmission as our first line piece however due to its age, it being an open cab, and with stricter safety regulations, we have sold this antique beauty. |
